Scarborough

What a fantastic Easter weekend - you can't write a script better than the Scarborough rally turned out to be. Lots of members made it there, but for lots of reasons we all had to make our separate ways there and back. Mick T went on the SX150 Friday evening and stayed with his mate in Filey. Ruey and Jeff went Friday sometime, Ruey taking his time as he's running in his new beauty. Shaggy went with his family on Saturday in the car. I (Steve) went Saturday very early, beautiful ride, but quite cold early on. I met with Mick T. at Rayspeeds and we went into Scarborough together for breakfast. Bingley Nige went Sunday and came back the same day. Bill also went on the Sunday on Blue Meanies and came back Sunday. Mick, myself, Ruey, Shaggy (and family) and Jeff met up on the Saturday. My family also came over in the car and we stayed with family Saturday night. Great day on Saturday, loads of fantastic scooters all over the place, but the Spa was gridlocked - literally - I couldn't get my scoot out with all the mirrors on it and had to wait. I had to leave and join the family about 3 p.m. and left the rest to it. Sunday was just AWESOME - massive ride out round the marine drive and up to Newlands. Met with Jeff and Ruey again, Bill was there but somehow I missed seeing him. Couple of beers then I went to join the family. set off home about 4, very windy, had to fill up twice! Brilliant weekend.

Shaggy's tale - his words.

For reasons best known to my good lady wife it was a good idea to take the car instead of me going on my two wheeled transport which i thought at the time was a good idea because at the time of departure it was a tad chilly.As the morning progressed the weather picked up and i got the feeling vicki (wife) had got one over on me.As the day turned out even though i was not on my scooter a good day was had by all.
